About the Museum

Through art, music, dance, photographs, film, stories, living history, and interactive activities, the Museum presents exciting and engaging exhibits and educational programs that inform, entertain, and inspire.

Exhibits and programs are organized by business, historical, educational, cultural, community, and governmental topics — including women pilots, astronauts, seafarers, inventors, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, and athletes as well as women in the military and in media.

Young Women to Watch Exhibit

Since opening, Nancy Young, president of the Attleboro Jewelry Makers, has provided approximately 3,000 square feet of space for the Museum, which is located in downtown Attleboro and easily accessible to the highway.

Since 2003, WAW has had 7 major exhibits and over 100 events that were free and open to the public. Museum events include:

The Women at Work Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are supported through the kind generosity of members and museum visitors like you.

The Museum has received support from around the country. Many organizations have made donations as well as sent volunteers and created exhibits.

    Become a destination for the community in areas that would both celebrate women's accomplishments and educate future generations o their potential by providing opportunities for children to explore science in ways they cannot at school, educators to expand their resources and community members to participate in on-going programs and projects.

Honor the achievements of women throughout history, provide educational programs that promote leadership, economic independence, and expertise in math, science, engineering and technology.
